Layla is a funny, artistic, and caring girl who likes to stay busy and help others. This active teenager likes to assist with cooking, chores around the house, and caring for younger children. Layla is an animal lover who likes to be around horses and would love to volunteer at a farm or animal shelter. Having a pet dog would be ideal. Her favorite things include McDonald’s 10-piece chicken nuggets, gel pens, crafting, perfume, reading, being outside, swimming, playing volleyball, and watching basketball and baseball. Layla is a fan of rap music and likes to go shopping at the mall.

It’s important to Layla to be around other people, and she doesn’t like to be alone for long periods. Layla prefers direct conversations in which she can clarify her thoughts. She is working hard on her communication skills and has become good at “figuring things out and accepting things she doesn’t want to.” Layla’s “no matter what” family must be open to maintaining relationships with family members and other caregivers with whom she has close connections. Layla will be a wonderful addition to a family that will give her the attention, support, and encouragement she needs now and in the future.
